![]() ![]() It also doesn't cover Family plans (except one mention) and doesn't talk about "standalone vault(s)" or "primary vault(s)" It covers the basics of the vault architecture really well, but the sections about any centralized management functionality have the disclaimer that they are just outlines and I didn't find any description in there. Please correct me if I am missing something here. ![]() If you (or a MitM) modifies the html/js on the page do to a simple html form post I would have no easy way of telling that this is the case. However it doesn't really help me as my browsers (Chrome, Chromium, Brave, Safari) have no visual indication that it is used. Is there a way to completely separate a local vault from the 1password online account if I manage a family plan? Or do I have to go back to my perpetual license.įirst, thanks for the reply. This violates my security model as 1password can now see my local vault's decryption password (1p controlls all html/js on the page, it's trivial for them to sniff a password if they want to). But it seems that I can only have one password which is used both for the web site (in which I need to log into occasionally to manage the family account) and to decrypt my local vault. I created a local Vault that is not sync'd. I am trying to switch to a Family plan and retain this model. My password is never entered/transmitted into any system other than my laptop. Right now I have a perpetual license on Mac with a local vault that is not sync'd. It would be great if someone here can help. I read the web page but it doesn't really go into the details. ![]() I am trying to understand the 1password security model and specifically if a family account allows me to keep my current security requirements. ![]()
